Former Senior Laboratory Advisor and National Program Lead (Blood and Injection Safety) for the Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research in Nigeria, and Senior Technical Advisor with Jhpiego in Liberia. Also served as the Country Technical Officer for the University of Maryland School of Medicine Global Laboratory Program in Nigeria, and as Technical Specialist for the Chemonics Global Supply chain project in Malawi. Former Laboratory and Surveillance Technical Specialist for the World Health Organization in Somalia and Zimbabwe.
Proudest Achievement: Testing services activated under my supervision at 42 comprehensive Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) sites, 726 Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) sites and 86 TB/HIV sites. HIV testing service provider to over two million people; anti-retroviral therapy services to 32,979 persons and (DNA) (PCR) testing for Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) to 3,375 HIV-exposed infants.
These results informed the development of the Nigerian policy for private sector engagement in HIV care.
Proudest Achievement: The Liberia Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists awarded me their most distinguished national award, a Certificate of Honor (2018) for developing the country’s policy guidelines for the Board of Accreditation and Licensure of Medical Laboratory Technicians and the constitution for the Liberia Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists.
Proudest Achievement: Led the team that produced the Health Resources Availability Mapping System (HeRAMS), a strategic report that provided timely, relevant and reliable information about health resources, to the relevant decision-makers.
